Al Hassan Group of Companies: Business Development / Sales Support Manager

To Identify and develop business opportunities for the Al Hassan’s trading and Manufacturing to build relationships with high profile clients from corporate, government and semi government sectors in

GCC region with a particular emphasis on Oman and UAE thereby expanding the business portfolio of Al Hassan across Oman and UAE.

2. Duties and Responsibilities

Area of responsibility


  1. Along with all departments in trading division, design the Business Development(BD) strategy and Public Relations(PR) activities required for expanding the business portfolio
  2. Act as a first point of contact for all PR matters and represent in all levels of external forums across Oman
  3. Pro-actively hunt for target organizations and establish communications with those businesses that can benefit from our Company’s services
  4. Forecast long and short-range market potential in Oman and UAE markets by conducting market survey and feasibility analysis by adopting a hands-on approach in monitoring the implementation and execution of BD and PR activities


Sales Team & Managers

  1. Assist the project sales team in getting required approvals form government for projects/ tenders/ etc.
  2. Facilitate the process of BD for all projects ( to open doors for clients with government sector)
  3. Support sales team for effective BD and resolve issues on site being face of the client
  4. Study competition and devise strategy for effective BD and identify business opportunities for business expansion


  1. In-charge for approval of products with DCRP, GCRP (distribution code review panel, grid code review panel) by visiting these agencies and getting timely approvals
  2. Act as a liaison with respective approval bodies/ ministries for other projects, MoD, RoP, PDO for approvals

Seminars & other duties

  1. Attend and represent company in regular seminars conducted across Oman and discover potential business opportunities which are then discussed with top management for next steps
  2. Fully in charge of the Omani products in all exhibitions in all Wilayats
  3. Attend FAT (factory attendance tests) tests ( final test in the factory) and ensure all components are ready for use, accompany those engineers for tests
  4. Provide timely assistance and help as required due to contacts

  • Graduate Engineer


  • 5+ years in Business Development/PR/Corporate Communications

Special Skills & Knowledge:

  • Excellent Negotiation and Persuasive skills
  • Patience and Man Management skills
  • Excellent Communication skills in Arabic & English
  • Outstanding needs analysis, positioning, business justification and closing skills
  • Ability to develop and implement a marketing strategy

Business Understanding:

  • Extensive understanding of the overall business is essential

  • Works inside an office environment with major time spent on market related to BD and PR activities
