Al Hassan Group of Companies: Quality Assurance & Control Manager ( QA/QC )


1. Role ObjectiveTo lead, direct, guide, supervise and ensure high quality standards are maintained in compliance with ISO and company guidelines at all times while implementing QA/QC

  • management systems at Switchgear factory, ensuring accurate and timely completion of QA/QC related activities.

2. Duties and Responsibilities

Area of responsibility


Oversee Implementation & Operations

  • Oversee the implementation of QA/QC management system at Switchgear factory and ensure that the QA manual is adhered and followed at all times
  • Control and supervise all amendments and revisions of QA manual as well as distribution of all quality documentation across the company.
  • Monitor all quality related activities on the project / work locations, perform internal and external audits on behalf of the management and recommend necessary improvement steps
  • Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for As-Built hand over through the QC turnover Engineer
  • Control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action
  • Ensure that all panel testing – functional testing, transportation testing are carried out on time adhering with ISO and relates standards
  • Oversee timely resolution of technical issues and in thorough maintenance of components documents for future recital and references

Liaison Management

  1. Coordinate with the customers representative and site inspection team on all quality matters and taken necessary action steps for timely resolution
  2. Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to all concerned employee, verify to ensure quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
  3. Participate in the site internal and external audits
  4. Monitor the implementation of the approved QA/QC Plan, complete and coordinate the approval of QC technical submissions to the customers.
  5. Coordinate with the production team on all quality issues and resolve them on time
  6. Coordinate and chair the QA/QC weekly meetings with QC personnel
  7. Assure all technical documents relative to quality control are current status

3. Level of external interaction

This position has low level of external interaction



  • Graduate Engineer


  • Minimum 5 years in similar role
  • Must have working experience in Switchgear Manufacturing industry

Special Skills & Knowledge:

  • Good knowledge of international and local standards on QA/QC
  • Knowledge of ISO standards
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication skills in English & Arabic.
  • Up-to-date QA/QC standards in line with the industry practices

Business Understanding:

  • A thorough understanding of the business operations is essential

  • Office based job with frequent visit to production floor
