Purpose of the Job:

To ensure the maximum availability of equipment for hire, including the maintenance and servicing of equipment in line with Aggreko’s procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee mobilization, installation & commissioning phase of the project ensuring completion in accordance with Aggreko standards and procedures
  • Complete all commissioning documentation and handover commissioned projects to the Depot’s ServiceManager.
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal teams where applicable.
  • Provide continual technical mentoring to local technicians.
  • Conduct regular HV equipment and site installation inspections within depot/clients sites to ensure equipment condition and site installations are in line with Aggreko standards.
  • React effectively to technical support of field equipment breakdowns in timely manner in and out of working hours when required.
  • Oversee development of depot staff to bring them to ECAM HV-c level
  • Provide feedback to STL on the competency level of the depot technicians and suggestions on how to raise competency if required.
  • Provide technical training refreshers to depot staff quarterly ensuring they will use the knowledge gained during training.
  • Project manage larger event installs and complex projects through the project life cycle.
  • Support MENA Local depots in any jobs that have a higher level of complexity.
  • Perform all major and routine maintenance and complete major equipment repairs, related to Aggreko equipment but not limited to , ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality in line with Aggreko standards and procedures whilst ensuring accurate and precise information is reported through the current ERP system.
  • Able to peform indepth fault finding and diagonisis on electrical systems related to the product field.
  • Complete all service related documentation inline with Aggreko process maps in a timely matter.
  • Lead site installations (to designed layout), commissioning and decommissioning to acceptable Aggreko standards if needed.
  • Lead Yard / site operations encompasing sub-contractor labour as and when determined by local management.
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to potential HV candidates from within the local AME depot business.
  • Liaise with the local store person to ensure parts availability for the specific tasks being conducted.
  • React effectively to technical support of field equipment breakdowns in timely manner in and out of working hours when required.
  • Adhere to Global Service Centre Standards (GSCS) within working environment at all times.
  • Displays a commitment to Operational Excellence activities.

Person Specification

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical or acceptable equivalent qualifications/experience
  • Has knowledge and experience in electrical field
  • Availability to travel as and when required
  • Possession of valid local Driving License as per the need of the business
  • Site/Depot based job requiring both technical and manual work to be conducted in all weather and terrain

Desired Skills

  • 5 + years relevant experience Proficiency in local language Basic working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Good comprehensive level of technical knowledge relating to the job role and associated activities
  • Able to carry out a wide range of complex technical tasks without supervision or guidance
  • Able to acquire the desired results in all associatted training provided by Aggreko
  • Able to make technical decisions for self and others in the context of the work role and associated activities without supervision
  • Able to effectively communicate detailed levels of technical knowledge to others relating to the job role and associated activities
