As the Director- Consumer Marketing you will be responsible for the successful leadership and management of the Consumer marketing department according to the strategic direction set by the CCO and the wider ExCo. Key deliverables are the achievement of all consumer marketing KPI’s (customer, revenue, margin, satisfaction and team)

Core Responsibilities

You will be responsible of the following:

  • Directing and leading the Consumer Marketing Department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the AOP
  • Develops the overall consumer marketing strategy and ensures its alignment with Group and Ooredoo Oman strategy
  • Contributes to the overall commercial strategy for Ooredoo Oman
  • Leading, directing and motivating a team of direct reports to ensure the team hit the highest levels of individual performance which ensure segment and personal targets are met
  • Lead, direct and motivate within the cross-functional team to ensure the highest level of performance and to ensure the unit meets its business targets. This cross-functional team to include internal elements such as B2B, Sales, CS and Legal. To also include external elements such as Ooredoo Group, other Group OpCo’s and partners
  • Delegate effectively to the team in order that they develop their skills and knowledge

  • Appraise accurately on a frequent basis the team members performance against their agreed performance contracts and ensure everyone has in place a development plan that is executed and the learning’s implemented

  • Develops the annual consumer marketing plan for the organisation, aligned with the overall business plan, to ensure the business achieves the targets in each of the strategic segments

  • Develops the consumer marketing budget and ensures its effective management, tracking and reporting

  • Develops the consumer marketing input into the overall commercial AOP planning

  • Develops the KPI’s for the Directorate in conjunction with the CCO and with the relevant Heads and leads their delivery

  • Ensure that proposition innovation, based on customer and 3rd party insights, is captured within the proposition development process so that we remain relevant to changing customer requirements and we act upon new opportunities

  • Ensure the delivery of the product and service strategy, segmented propositions that excite our customers and deliver on the business case targets

  • Create and manage effective cross functional working between the team and its stakeholders to ensure Time to market is on time every time

  • Ensures the timely delivery of different reports like segment/product reports, project management reports etc.

  • Delivery monthly Consumer Operational Review (BPR) and the Consumer input to the Ooredoo Group Quarterly review

  • Ensures policies and process are developed across the directorate and for them to be disseminated, stored, reviewed, monitored and followed

  • Ensures any audit points for non-compliance are resolved within the specified SLA’s.

The Person

You should have minimum of 15+ years overall working experience preferably in telecommunications or closely related industry, at least 8 within a consumer marketing directorate, and at least 4 at senior management level, proven track record of success in senior marketing roles including people management, confident, driven and dynamic leader, entrepreneurial mind-set with ability to spot original opportunities, In depth knowledge of segmentation, consumerism, product development and customer value management, MS Office Proficiency Fluent in written and spoken English – Arabic a plus with a degree in management, marketing, economics or a closely related field.
