Job Description

The Electrical and Instrument Technician is accountable for independently performing a wide variety of skilled tasks including operation, routine maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, planning, modification, installation and calibration of instrumentation, SCADA control and electrical systems for the production wells, custody transfer stations, power system and telecommunication units in Off-Plot facilities; oversee and train staff in the operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic instrumentation equipment including programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, remote terminal units, supervisory control data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and software controlled units and equipment

Skills Required

Professional Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum of Technical Diploma in instrumentation, control system or electronic engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an instrumentation maintenance technician in the Oil & Gas. Industry Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits, instrumentation systems, analyzers and their sampling and conditioning techniques.
  • Familiar with maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of various process instrumentation, gas analyzers and chromatographs
  • Very Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
