Electrical Engineer, Oman – Flowserve – Muscat

The Electrical Engineer will report directly to the Senior Electrical Engineer and will be responsible for overseeing all Electrical and ELV Engineering aspects of the project, which includes IT, Telecom, Security, Access Control, Public Address, CCTV, Fire Alarm systems, BMS, SCADA and as well as other related electrical utility systems, but is not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for QA and the checking of all design work carried out prior to formal issue.
Coordinating with Architects, Structural Engineers and other MEP disciplines.
Responsible for the checking of BIM/CAD work.
Review and certify daily records of the performed works, as well as labour and equipment returns, material deliveries, tests performed and safety problems for supplier(s) and contractor(s) engaged on the Project.
Review all Contractor submissions to ensure that the submittals are compliant with the Contract Documents.
Review all submittals including shop drawings and make recommendations on the same.
Monitoring and/or verification to ensure the alignment, location, grade, level and plumb work of all elements both vertically and horizontally as per the Contract Documents
Minimum 8 years relevant experience in similar projects
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the UAE or GCC
Experience within the Middle East and GCC and on Complex buildings/Mixed use developments/ Malls and retail/ Commercial and Residential high-rise buildings and Villas.
Demonstrate an advanced level of literacy in leading computer aided design packages.
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Professionally registered by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or similar equivalent is advantageous.
