Finance Manager – Oman LTD

We currently have a vacancy for a Finance Manager at the Adam Air Base in Oman. The role incorporates representation of the Finance function for Oman Ltd Branch and membership of the senior management team.
Oman Limited is a UK registered company with an Oman registered Branch office – residing within the E&I Middle East organisation. The responsibilities of the Branch are primarily focused on the delivery of an aircraft availability service contract with the Oman MoD.

Your main responsibilities as a Finance Manager – Oman LTD will involve:
Managing financial processes to support the in country organisation, including invoice processing, payroll, expenses and petty cash
Managing Cost Base activities including the co-ordination, completion and reporting of the 5 year Integrated Business Plan (IBP), quarterly re-forecasts and monthly management accounts with support from the UK Finance Team. Conduct monthly cost base reviews with budget holders, ensuring all variances are reported and understood with remedial actions implemented as necessary
Management of the in country CSR (Contract Status Report) inputs ensuring they reflect the true financial position of the contract and have full business ownership. Support Oman Ltd UK Finance team in preparation and review of consolidated CSRs and associated review packs
Working closely with the project team to understand the achievement of monthly availability targets, ensuring customer invoices are raised as appropriate. Work with the project team to assess future achievement of availability targets
Preparation and review of in country financial forecast and programme IBP inputs, ensuring they are accurate, have a full audit trail and appropriate business ownership. Delivery of Key Performance Indicators – orders, sales, profit and cash
Preparation of monthly bank account reconciliations. Preparation of accounts, supporting audit file and tax return. Preparation and submission of monthly Withholding Tax return. Liaison with in county auditors and Group Tax dept
Ensuring that effective financial controls are in place and maintained across all areas of responsibility, ensuring compliance with BAE Systems Operational Framework, Financial Controls Framework and Finance Policies Manual
Responsible for management and development of direct report.
Your skills and qualifications
ACCA /ACA / ACMA with post qualification experience
Experience in a variety of finance roles with emphasis on financial, projecting accounting and tax
Strong Excel skills
Man management experience
