– The Lead material and corrosion engineer will serve as a Technical specialist and expert in areas related to materials and corrosion Engineering

Skills Required

– B.Sc. Degree in Materials/Mechanical Engineering/Polymer technology or equivalent. – A minimum of 10 years’ experience in material and corrosion engineering in oil & gas industry, with main exposure to sour system – Worked in a leading role for at least 2 years – Meets Minimum requirements of Technical Authority of TA-2 in Material and Corrosion discipline. – Thorough understanding of the risks and the technical/commercial issues associated with the development of oil and gas projects. – Strong site experience. – Expert knowledge and experience in preparation of technical specifications and procedures related to material and corrosion – Knowledge and familiarity with international standards related to Well design, operations and materials – Extensive experience in design and application of materials applicable to Wells during drilling, operations and interventions – Experience in Failure investigation of all types of materials used in upstream oil & gas industry. – Experience & knowledge in Long term, short term qualification testing of materials – Skilled ability to interpret drawings and specifications. – Experience in audits, approval and monitoring of vendors and contractors – Excellent communications and inter-personal and leadership skills are essential. – Ability to work effectively with others i.e., Well engineering, Operations, manufacturers, inspectors and contractors. – Capable of rigorously implementing and enforcing global standards, procedures and engineering work processes – Ability to coach and mentor others like young engineers
