Play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of all instrumentation equipment in the Oman LNG facility by providing professional expertise continually working towards improving plant availability and reliability. Implement the steps in the short, medium and long term plans to address any risk areas identified to meet the highest level of HSSE performance and assist the maintenance section, on instrumentation maintenance.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Implement the plan of action including preventive maintenance schedules and adoption of best practices from the industry for the Instrumentation systems in Qalhat LNG department to help achieve the goal zero incidents at the plant.
2. Coordinate with the various engineering department to execute the appropriate maintenance techniques of preventive maintenance (PM for all instrumentation equipment in the Qalhat complex).3. Follow up on critical overdue in the preventive maintenance to minimize overdue occurrences, escalating instances of overdue and closing them immediately.4. Implement and drive the practice of Instrument Protection protocols by providing the concerned departments with standard procedures and work instructions.5. Carryout instrumentation and systems long terms review that is documented and updated in Asset Reference Plan (ARP).6. Conduct troubleshooting, through proper techniques of all instrumentation systems related process incidents to close them with minimal delay.7. Execute the implementation of all single discipline instrumentation systems changes in the Qalhat facility.8. Participate in planned shutdown jobs planning, resource planning, maintenance execution and quality assurance.9. Review and approve changes in instrumentation systems during project implementation.10. Carryout regular instrumentation spare parts reviews and follow up on action items that ensure availability of required spares to maintain complex instrumentation, and process control 11. Drive the adherence to procedures, work instructions and responsibilities matrices within the specified quality assurance certification system and ensure compliance.12. Assist in the management of instrumentation systems skill pool (including the instrumentation systems personnel with maintenance section) through coaching and mentoring.13. Provide appropriate technical and specialist support to maintenance section.14. Manage all contracts between the instrumentation section with 3rd party vendors and contractors.15. Maintain awareness of developments within the industry in instrumentation, and process control fields and initiate changes that will improve the business.16. Coach and develop the staff to ensure the minimum competency levels are met or exceeded by a yearly review of their training needs, on the job exposure, cross postings, preparation of a personal development plan and regular feedback sessions including mid-year and final year appraisal.
Qualifications and Experience
1. B.Sc in engineering in relevant streams like instrumentation, electrical and electronics .2. Minimum 8 years of experience in oil and gas, chemical or related industry.3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in instrumentation systems and safeguarding systems.
