Qarat Al Milh Petroleum: Finance Officer-Budget

Job description

Job Purpose:

Reporting to Finance Manager, ARA Petroleum B44, the jobholder should handle accounts closing and maintaining controls on budgets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Booking all transaction related to the company in appropriately, accuracy, timely, completely and correctly.
  • Review of GL accounts in monthly basis.
  • Month end closing as per corporate timelines
  • Providing ad hoc reports as required.
  • Budget transactions.
    • Updating addition and reversal transactions after getting approval if required.
    • Reviewing the budget approval with budget in the system in monthly basis
    • Preparing the budget in yearly basis.
    • Providing ad hoc reports as required.
  • Preparing reports for
  • Preparing reports of Cost Recovery in monthly basis.
  • Preparing SOE report in monthly basis.
  • actual against budget in monthly basis and investigate for any difference or changing.
  • MIS reports on monthly basis.
  • Updating others departments or sections for budget status.
  • Treasury.
  • Reviewing balance in banks in weekly basis.
  • Controlling and arranging the transfers between our banks account.
  • Preparing cash call in monthly basis and inform GL staff immediately.
  • Liaise with auditors during the annual and perform other similar or related duties.

Job End result that related to KPI

  • The accuracy and reliability of accounting record in SAP contributing to the accuracy of account closure and financial statement
  • The accuracy of account code assignment according to code practice.
  • To ensure the accuracy and sufficiency of all documents required prior to payment.
  • Payable documents are processed under control of authorization table booking the invoices in the system. Managing the payments which due. Preparing the accrual in monthly basis. Reconcile the vendor statements with vender age SAP system. Reports the outstanding invoices.

Professional Knowledge & Experience:

–       Omani National

–       Minimum Bachelor degree.

–       5 years of working experience in the same field.

–       Very Good English written and verbal communication skills.

–       Experience in SAP work environment.

–       Experience in MS Word, Excel and Power Point will an added advantage.

–       Positive work ethic
